American Dream (1920s style)

Use Californian medium red wine and add all ingredients to an ice filled Highball glass. Garnish with an orange and cherry boat. {cocktail stick into a slice of orange near the edge, then into a cherry and then back through the orange near the opposite edge forming a cup around the cherry}
