- Shake well with plenty of ice, strain into a martini glass and serve ferociously cold in generous quantities, garnished with a sprig of mint. If you can’t obtain potcheen you may substitute a high-strength vodka.

Lovely drink. Glad it is still around. We use Vodka here in the US. Poteen is hard to come by and not always good. I wouldn’t use our local White Liquor for seomething this fine.
