Everyone has an obligation to try and reduce their carbon emissions as much as possible. Carbon offsetting is not a cure for climate change but it can help to offset our actions.
How do I know that carbon is really offset for me?
You can be confident that the carbon that is offset for you will make a genuine difference to the climate change. The carbon offsetting measures will be carried out by Carbon Clear - a leading London-based organisation that only invests in high-quality clean energy and other carbon reduction projects that improve lives in developing countries.
How much carbon is offset for me?
You will receive a certificate confirming that half a tone (500kg) of carbon has been offset on your behalf. The average UK resident will directly generate 5 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year through direct activities such as personal transport and energy consumption. The carbon offset for you is the equivalent to over a month’s worth of your direct carbon emissions.
How long does it take to receive my confirmation certificate?
This depends on how you choose to register your gift. If you register online then you will receive your supporter certificate within 10 working days. If you fill out and return your form by post then it is increased to 28 working days from the date Gift Republic receives your form.
Alternatively, if you would prefer to be more environmentally friendly, you can choose to receive an e-certificate by email. Just tick the option on the registration sheet or during your online registration process.
How long do I have to register my gift?
You have 12 months in which to register your gift. Your gift code expires 12 months after the date of purchase.
