INSTRUCTIONS

Put the ice cubes into a mixing glass. Shake the bitters over the ice then the port, run and whisky. Stir and pour into a chilled old fashioned glass.

INGREDIENTS

3 parts Bourbon
1 part Dark rum
1 part Port
3 drops Angostura bitters
5 Ice cubes

Disgusting? Not to my taste. First saw this drink in David Wondrich's excellent book Esquire Drinks, many websites with cocktail recipes do not have this recipe; this is a stump-the-bartender drink. To me, it's a nearly perfect mixed drink. If loving this drink is wrong, I don't want to be right.
